Best Attributes for Moonbear
To improve your Moonbear’s attributes, you’ll need to regenerate it. Each regeneration shuffles the pet’s skills and can change its rarity. Everything is random, so you can’t pick exactly what you get. Out of the 6 possible attributes, these 3 are the main ones to focus on for Moonbear.
Start with Strength. This is the most important stat for Moonbear, improving its Moonrage skill for the biggest damage output.
Once you have a strong Strength roll, turn your attention to Agility. Agility is key for skills such as Advanced Moonrage and Angry Roar, helping boost your crit rate and keeping your damage high.
Endurance is useful for the Counterstrike skill as your infantry marches will be soaking up a lot of damage, and this skill reflects it back to the attackers. The higher the endurance of your Moonbear, the more effective this is.
Best Skills for Moonbear
For Strength skills, prioritise Moonrage as this is the main damage dealing skill. Fatal Bite is also really important for increased crit rate, although this is expensive to star up. Tooth and Claw and Fierce Attack are also good choices, are easier to star up and will give you a larger damage boost. You will need to pick your preferred one of the 2 of these to prevent going over the 3 strength skill cap.
For Agility skills, you can get Advanced Moonrage from the Season Store for 4 amber. This is optional but is worth it if you have amber spare. Angry roar is also a good choice for better crit rate.
Finally, for Endurance skills you’ll want to make Intense Moonrage your priority. This will largely increase your base Moonrage skill damage. You can also build Counterstrike and Intense Counterstrike if your skill slots allow and you want a counterattack focussed build.
Best Hero Pairings for Moonbear
The Moonbear is a good pet pairing for most infantry heroes, especially the ones who have good damage output. Danfel, Goresh and Mogro are the best choices as they all have some type of damage buff. Infantry heroes such as Garwood who are focussed more on defence, and HP buffs would be better suited to a pet such as the Stripebear or Frostbear.
