To get the most out of your Bruinbear, you’ll want to focus on the right attributes, pick the best skills, and pair it up with heroes.

This guide shows you which attributes to prioritise when rolling, the key skills to go for, and the best hero pairings to help your Bruinbear reach its full potential.

Best Attributes for Bruinbear

To boost your Bruinbear’s attributes, you’ll need to use regeneration. This process randomises your pet’s skills and can even change its rarity, so the outcome is always unpredictable, you won’t be able to choose your exact stats. Of the 6 possible attributes, the 3 below are the most important for Bruinbear.

Strength should be your first priority, as it has the biggest impact on your damage, especially for Quickening, Bruinbear’s main skill.

After securing a good Strength roll, look at improving Agility next. Agility helps with crit rate boosting skills, giving your bear more frequent bursts of damage.

Finally, Endurance is valuable if you’re using Counterstrike skills. Since infantry marches tend to take a lot of hits, higher Endurance allows your Bruinbear to reflect even more damage back at enemies, making your frontline that much tougher.

Best Skills for Bruinbear

For Strength skills, prioritise Quickening as this is the main counter-attacking skill. Fatal Bite is also really important for increased crit rate, although bare in mind this is expensive to star up. Tooth and Claw is a good final strength skill for a larger damage boost.

For Agility skills, Advanced Quickening is a great option and can be picked up from the Season Store for 4 amber. While it’s optional, it increases the maximum stacks inflicted by Quickening based on your Agility, making it a strong addition if you have points to spare. Angry Roar is another solid pick here, as it helps boost your crit rate even further.

Finally, for Endurance skills you’ll want to get Intense Quickening first. This should be non-negotiable, as it increases the damage dealt by Quickening. You’ll also want to pick up Counterstrike and Intense Counterstrike, especially if you plan to use the hero pairings recommended in the next section.

Best Hero Pairings for Bruinbear

The Moonbear is a good pet pairing for most infantry heroes who deal counterattack damage. Goresh and Skogul are the best picks, with Madeline also getting a mention. Madeline was recently changed to an overall hero instead of infantry, but still works well with infantry units and the Bruinbear.

For infantry heroes such as Danfel and Mogro, the Moonbear is better suited for skill damage purposes.

Final Tips

  • Roll for strength as a priority to make the most out of the Quickening skill.

  • Perfect rolls aren’t necessary straight away. Focus on Strength as a foundation and reroll over time.

  • Save exchange coins for important skill upgrades such as Quickening.

  • Try and get a Bruinbear that already comes with Quickening. This will save your exchange coins.

Conclusion

With the right combination of attributes, skills, and hero pairings, Bruinbear can make a real impact on your infantry counterattack marches. Build it well, and you’ll notice a big increase in your infantry’s damage, merits, and overall effectiveness in Call of Dragons.
