The upcoming Pokémon GO Community Day for January 2024 has been revealed, featuring the Grass/Flying type Pokémon, Rowlet, from the Alola region. As one of the Generation 7 starter Pokémon, Rowlet takes the spotlight in this event.
This article will provide all the essential information to help you prepare for the upcoming Community Day.
Date and Time
Kick off the new year with excitement! The Pokémon GO Rowlett Community Day is set for January 6th, 2024, happening from 2:00-5:00 pm local time.
Even after the event concludes, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in four-star raid battles against Dartrix until 10:00 pm on the same day. Successfully completing raids will trigger additional Rowlet spawns around the gym for 30 minutes, enabling you to collect more Rowlett candies and enhance your event catches.
Increased Shiny Rowlet Chances
The Rowlet community day will give players a better chance of finding a shiny Rowlet due to the increased spawns. According to Pokemon Go Hub, the chances of finding a shiny Pokemon during a community day event is 1 in 25 on average.
Exclusive Decidueye Evolution Move
Players who evolve Rowlet into Dartrix and then Decidueye during the event or within five hours afterwards will gain access to the exclusive move Frenzy Plant. This powerful move boasts a base power of 100 in both trainer and gym battles.
Furthermore, Decidueye can also learn the move Spirit Shackle during and after the event. With a base power of 50, Spirit Shackle lowers the defense of enemy Pokémon by one stage in trainer battles. In gym and raid battles, the move has a power of 70.
Whether you choose Frenzy Plant or Spirit Shackle, Decidueye will be an exciting Pokémon to use in future battles.
Event Bonuses
We’ve put together a list of the event bonuses you can anticipate on the community day. All bonuses will be active from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, providing an extended window to enjoy the perks even after the event concludes.
- Get 3x extra stardust when you catch a Pokémon.
- Catching Pokémon awards 2x extra candy.
- Lure modules and incense activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Trainers over level 31 have 2x chance to obtain XL candy when they catch a Pokémon.
- Taking a snapshot of a Pokémon will give players a surprise.
- Trades will require 50% less stardust and an additional special trade can be made for the day.
Preparation For Rowlet Community Day
Before the event, make sure you’re fully prepared with the right items to catch as many Pokémon as possible. Create a checklist of things to do on the day to stay organized and become a successful trainer.
Gather a Supply of Poké Balls
Ensuring you have a plentiful stash of Pokéballs is crucial. With the event lasting just a few hours, you wouldn’t want to spend that time hunting for Pokéballs instead of catching more Rowletts.
Consider stocking up on Great Balls and Ultra Balls, as they boast higher catch rates. This way, you can catch more Rowletts and increase your chances of finding a valuable shiny or one with perfect IVs.
Planning Your Journey
Before you head out, be sure you know where you’re going. Planning a route with numerous Pokéstops along the way is a smart move to replenish your supplies, particularly Pokéballs for catching more Rowlets. An organized journey plan can enhance your efficiency.
Exclusive Community Day Bundles
There are three limited time boxes available for the Pokémon GO Rowlet Community Day. If you’re low on supplies, or want to take advantage of a limited time deal consider purchasing these with Pokécoins or real money before you begin your journey. These are:
